West coast trip postponed
It would seem that NZ'ers are as big if not bigger rev-heads than Aussies.
Everything between Hokitika and Franz Joseph is booked out, there's some kind of car rally/race or what ever, on. Best I stay away, really!. We decided to go mid-week when things settle down. Ah well.... Something I'm not used to: the road to Arthur's Pass was closed last night due to bad weather in the Southern Alps. *gulp* Having done quite a bit of driving on those mountain switchbacks now, I would hate to think what they're like in bad weather! -- Marisa (AU/NZ) http://www.galleryvittoria.com |

I think for memeory, they're into rally driving in a big way. -- Melinda http://cust.idl.com.au/athol |

It would seem you're right, Melinda! The next meet is at Timeru, so we'll
avoid that next weekend. These dudes are crazed about extreme sports, even the bike tracks I've seen are NUTS. We saw one mangled push bike at the bottom of a hill where a rider had met a sticky end. The gear cog was folded in half. Not kidding. -- Marisa (AU/NZ) http://www.galleryvittoria.com "melinda" wrote in message ... I think that's taking the adenilin(sp) rush thing too far! -- Melinda http://cust.idl.com.au/athol |
