Default Press and Seal how to?????

Hi, I've seen reference to this product in other posts but don't have a
handle on how it is used in quilting. Can someone give a brief answer ?
Thanks, Signe

It's so great! I recently tried it for some fancy quilting. If you have a
stensil, place the Press and Seal on the fabric. Then put the stencil on the
P&S and draw with a fine point sharpie (being careful NOT to poke holes in
the plastic or draw oof the plastic!) and then sew and then peel off. You
can also place the P&S on a paper design, draw the design and then place on
fabric and sew. I did a small section at a time and it stayed in place with
no pinning.

Hi Kathy,

May I ask what kind of thread you're using? I can't seem to be able to do
it without a LOT of ink being transferred from the P&S to the thread. I'm
using either #60 Mettler cotton, or YLI nylon, and it doesn't matter what
color of Sharpie I use, (black, red, orange, green) I end up with a whole
lot of color on the thread. And yes, I am letting it dry thoroughly (even
tried overnight). And I have tried putting a second sheet of P&S over the
first, and that helped a little, but certainly didn't eliminate the problem

Thanks.

Becky

I'm not Kathy but.... I am using either a regular pencil or one of those
purple ones that disappears off the fabric. Seems to be working well for me.
If pencil transfers, it washes off and if the purple ink rubs off, it's
disappearing.
