misbehaving Flecto?
Is there a known negative interaction of Flecto and Kato clay? I put Flecto
on some sanded and buffed flat pieces, and while it took fine to the ones made from (old) Fimo canes, it beaded up (and dried) on (new) Kato surfaces. Yecch! Should I have known this was going to happen? |

yes, this is a noted phenomenon. There's more info about it in threads over at
Polymer Clay Central. The baked kato needs a baked coat of liquid kato or tls to make the flecto stick. Flecto interacts well so far with both, and reduces the rubbery texture of the kato clay's surface Sarajane Sarajane's Polymer Clay Gallery http://www.polyclay.com |
