Default FO! & New Project

I finished Alexander's sweater, and he wore it to church yesterday,
then to school today. He seems to want to wear it every day. It
was just a simple, st st, top down sweater, knit in this dayglow orange
he picked out, and I knit his initials into the front. He adores it.
I'm glad, too, because the last thing I knit for him, he ended up not
liking it once it was finished.

As for the new project, I went to the LYS and picked up a ball of
Debbie Bliss Cashmerino in this divine deep red and am using it to make
up a hat that was in a fall issue of FCEK, last year's I think. It was
a pink cashmere hat in the mag, knit in one piece, seamed to make a
square and with a textured heart on the front. I decided it didn't need
to be all cashmere, and I didn't want it pink, but the red cashmerino is
quite soft and beautiful.

Regards,
Ranee

Ranee,
I am so pleased for you that your son likes his sweater!!
Is cashmerino 'expensive'??

Noreen

Hi Ranee,

Your son is already for Halloween with his orange sweater. Wonder if he will
wear it that day? The hat sounds very lovely too.

Hugs,

Nora

Me, too!

Sort of, if I were making a sweater for myself, it would have been,
but for a one ball purchase it wasn't. It was $7.25 at my LYS.

Ranee
