Shelagh that is peculiar because it was working earlier

but when I went in just now to try to see if it was still working it
came up with that error message. Could it be that Yahoo is either too
busy or that the site is down for repair or updating at the moment?

I saw it at last! It was worth the wait - so sweet!

Never mind the dolly, display it as a piece of art: get some of those
little wooden pegs and a piece of jute string and make a little
clothes line on the wall for it I say.

Oh what a great idea! Ok, this seems to work:
. Take out the
asterisks and it SHOULD work (GOD I HOPE! LOL). It seems to condense
the url every time I put it in here. Maybe this will "fool" it so it
works. Sigh.

Not to worry. I took out part of the link, and finally got to see the
picture. That sweater is just darling! Nice work.

Ok, call me proud. Call me nutz. Call me redundant.

I finally got the website squared away to show off my little 4-inch
sweater! VP was kind enough to help me with the technical parts (I'd
rather be knitting) and get 'er up there on the web.

It worked out to gauge but I am still concerned it will be too big for
my SIL's dolls. I just mailed it off to her and requested feedback for
future attempts.

Beading in as needed with a crochet hook was the "funnest" part of the
project. Learned something new!

Ok now, I need constructive criticism here! I am very new to modifying
patterns but would appreciate some ideas on how I could alter this
sweater. Thanks everyone!

That is so pretty Wendy...

...and the beading adds a real touch of glamour.

Well, hopefully, and it added just the bit of learning curve for me,
as well.

New link:

What beautiful work Wendy. I bet you are smiling!

Oh thank you all! I feel dorky when I hear about everyone else's
amazing projects, so all your praise is giving me a confidence-
builder!

Shelagh--What part of the url did you remove? How should I put it here
so everyone can see it the FIRST time, next time, please?

Wendy ---- that's a big smile, for those who don't recognize
it--

Here's the part of the link I used - I left off the photo number, and
behold, up came the sweater. I double clicked on the small picture to get
the large one.

Also, try this tinyurl:

I noticed the numbers in the link that finally worked don't match yours. I'm
shortening it to show only the numbers so they don't get broken when the
post shows up

Somehow you managed to get the wrong link. Don't worry - keep trying ;D

I can highly recommend the Tinyurl for nice short links to pictures.

If you have more pictures in your "My Knitting" album, could you make them
public, so we could see them too?

If you're interested, I have albums of knitting pictures, one of some of my
stash, and one for my shawls.... go he

Thank you so very much!

My SIL just wrote that she just got it in the mail. Here's her email
to me:

The sweater arrived, and it is beautiful. Thank you. I'll sew on some
buttons, try it on a doll, and photograph it.

It looks a little big for the 16" girls. But my Cissy is eyeing it
covetously and reaching for her black capris...To be continued...
