shopping
Well, after the discussion of frugality on the other thread, I feel a
little bit guilty about the amount of money I spent yesterday at the yarn shop. However, in my own defense, I do most of my shopping online because I don't have a shop handy AND I was having a very emotional day AND I was delivering a good batch of finished projects to a nursing home, so I needed something new, right? Okay, enough justifications. I got wool and a matching specialty yarn in 3 colors for hats, three pairs of circular needles, a book on knitting socks with "The Magic Loop" (anyone tried it?), a slippers kit with soles and a really fun variegated wool, and a super-cute freebie slipper pattern. I knit up one hat when I got home last night, and today I think I'll do another. Joy |

I don't think you ever need to justify buying yarn/fibre, etc etc. After all, these hobbies of ours help to keep us sane. ;) Shelagh |

If knitting socks using one circular is the same as the "Magic loop"
then yes, I've done it and I love it! much faster, much easier to control - even better than on two circulars, IMO.
