Default Wrapped in Batting! OT?

IT'S S T R A I G H T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Big Toe is straight!

And it's covered in POIPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got me a POIPLE cast for a week ...then that gets changed to another POIPLE
cast for another 5 weeks then on to Das Boot Surgery went well.they kept me
overnight as I was in a 'cotton (batting) wrap' with and Ace bandage over it
for 24 hours. Then the cast was put on and I was outta there by noon J

Leg/foot was numb from knee down until today (leg block given before
surgery-yes, I was out also) today I have some sensation in my toes.
Staying on TOP of the pain. Been forewarned NOT to let it get throbbing as
its harder to get it back under control if I do.

Have to move around every 2 hours..wear the 'pressure stocking' on the R Leg
for the first 6 weeks. I'm getting around on a 'knee walker' for these 6
weeks. It's better than trying to get a wheelchair around in this place.

I can NOT send any emails out.. DS worked on it last night and will again
tonight.

Nuff for now. I'm tiring quickly as of yet.

I am just finishing up the same process, used a knee walker for eight weeks,
now I have a boot. That is better, but it is still slow going. I had
reconstructive surgery last year, so did the whole deal then, and this year
the fusion plate broke down, so that had to be removed and redone. This
year's surgery was much less invasive, but still kept me housebound and
unable to walk since the first of July. I have a big wrap on my foot so
cannot drive, because I can't get a shoe on. I hope that changes soon. My
foot does look and feel much better, and I was free of pain until this
little setback. Too bad I still have to get the other foot done in a year or
so, then I hope to finally reach my goal of being able to walk for exercise.

Good luck to you. Hang in there and take the pain medication as needed.

Keep me posted as you go. Helps to know what 'is to be' or 'could be'
expected during the healing process.

Mainly resting today

Excellent news! You keep on top of that pain and treat yourself gently,
for a faster and fuller long-term recovery.
