Looking for a replacement sewing machine

I have a Singer Stylist, which I've had for about 30 years...do I try
have my Stylist repaired (will it only last a couple of months) or
should I consider buying a new machine?
You're asking this of a group who believe that one machine is never
enough; that the older machines are well worth repairing, and keeping as
a spare machine; many of us actually do the repairs ourselves. (and
quality parts are available for most repairs)
