Default black hills gold jewelry

I found this post and feel it needs to be corrected on one point.
According to federal law, to be marketed as Black Hills Gold the item
MUST be manufactured in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The point was
settled in court when Coleman Corp. started manufacturing jewelry in
Arizona and began marketing it as "Black Hills Gold". Several
manufacturers of Black Hills Gold jewelry took Coleman to Federal Court
and Judge Andrew Bogue found that to be labled as Black Hills Gold
jewelry the item must be manufactured in the Black Hills. Any item
sold as Black Hills Gold that was not crafted in the Black Hills is
sold fraudulently. There are some manufacturers who sell gold jewelry
in a similar style, but they never publicly state that their jewelry is
Black Hills Gold.

What makes Black Hills Gold different from other gold?

Black Hills Gold. The name can be counted on to indicate jewelry that

is
made of multi-colored gold (rose, green, yellow,
etc.) and to have certain recognizable motifs, e.g. grape leaves and
clusters. The implication is that the jewelry has been
manufactured in the Black Hills area of South Dakota, but that is not
necessarily the case. Likewise, the gold itself may have
come from anywhere (not necessarily the Black Hills) even when
manufactured by a company located in the Black Hills region.
Regardless of the source of the gold, it does not come out of the

ground
in these different colors. The color is created by
alloying any gold with certain other metals in given proportions.
