Default 2009 Goals

As dh is retired, and therefore so am I in theory (no housewife can ever
be completely retired!)I am trying not to have goals, but just to live
life as it comes. However, I do need some new clothes and am currently
trying to perfect a pants pattern - I redraft it for every pair, and
although right now the latest pair looks pretty good, I think there is
still room for improvement. Once I get it as I want it, I should be
able to make a new pair of pants in an afternoon. Also, I am trying to
perfect a pattern for blouse and vest.

My church is still anxious for hats and scarves for the Seamen's
Mission, so my tv and meetings time is taken up with knitting. Also, I
am slowly repairing a number of church linens, strictly on an "as and
when" basis. All this does not leave a great deal of time for
embroidery, but I am working on a set of placemats, then I have some
cushion covers (sorry - pillow tops) awaiting my kind attention.

As I said, there is no timetable on any of these. I'll get there when I
get there, dammit.

I totally love your terminology, Anne. I am, clearly, NOT a monogamist
stitcher. Since the terms for multiple spouses depend on the gender of the
other parties (polygamist, polyandrist), and I don't think all of my
stitched works are the same gender, perhaps I am bistitchual. Or just a
promiscuous sticher???

Dawne

I'm going with promiscuous stitcher - sounds better than bi-stitchual -
definitely apropos for me. Hmmm - is there a stitchnympho - insatiable
stitcher????

Also, I think that I'm going to do some purging of my stash, and sell some
charts that are just never going to get stitched. *Anyone want the Mirabilia
Madonna chart??? *

No, but keep me in mind for charted needlepoint and your raise the
roof charts!

Linda

Will do. I'm going to go through and sort out what is for swap, what for
sale, etc.
