Can lampworked beads be repaired... say if a thin stringer came off
an area... or if a dot/bump came off the bead when the bead was dropped? TIA. -- Linda --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Version: 6.0.525 / Virus Database: 322 - Release Date: 10/9/2003 |

Can lampworked beads be repaired... say if a thin stringer came off an area... or if a dot/bump came off the bead when the bead was dropped? TIA. -- sadly -NO in theory you could slowly reheat the bead in a kiln, take it out and try to repair --- but I've tried it and it never works.... the bead usually shatters when it hits the flame.... even if you have it up to 950 in the oven - the flame is about 1250 and the shock does it in.... No - but sometimes sellers will remake a bead for you at no cost if one
breaks. They shouldn't break under normal circumstances, but stuff happens. -- Kandice Seeber Air & Earth Designs http://www.lampwork.net Can lampworked beads be repaired... say if a thin stringer came off an area... or if a dot/bump came off the bead when the bead was dropped? Someone gave the name of a glue that works reasonably well. It was quite a
while ago, maybe 6 mo or more, and I wish I could remember the name too. Tina "bluemaxx" wrote in message news:Sq2jb.779225$uu5.135894@sccrnsc04... Would HypoCement work? Or E6000?
