Default Fabric Transfer??

I figured out how to attach a piece of cotton fabric to a piece of freezer
paper and run it through my printer. Naturally, I did a test and washed a
portion of it and the whole pictures disappeared.

Is there a way to run this through your printer and put it on a quilt? I'm
thinking of having my special ed class make a photo quilt but I want to be sure
it will wash. A wall hanging wouldn't work.

thank you,
Donna

what kind of printer do you have? the colours wash off with mine (not
the black) and it is a deskjet, whereas the ones i print at work in a
laser printer are permanent. did you iron yhem before washing?

Check in to preparing your fabric with Bubble Jet Set before printing. It
makes your fabric printing permanent. Caryl Fallert's website has more
information. www.bryerpatch.com is her webpage, I believe.

Use what is called Bubble Jet Set if you are using a bubble jet
printer. you have to soak the material in it. When it dries you can
attach it to paper and print. After you print the picture soak it and
then wash it before you put it in the quilt. You can also buy
pre-treated fabric sheets. I just made a quilt for someone retiring in
our depart using it.
