Happy kid!
When I work with beads my (almost 4 yr old) grandson basically ignores
me but let me pull out one piece of clay and he just lights up! At Michaels the other day I finally gave in and let him pick out the colors he wanted in Fimo (yellow and purple), while thinking of all the ways I could protect furniture and floors from bits of clay! His greatest fascination though is still my pasta machine and, other than him barely being able to reach it where it is clamped to my work bench, there are a lot of reasons I would rather he find other ways to work with 'his' clay. Then today, at Dollar Tree, I was looking at kids clay tools (PlayDough presses etc) and what do ya know!!! Little plastic pasta machines... with different rollers!!! I got him three.. one flat w/ 'cookie' cutters, one that cuts into strips and one that rolls into wavy sheets w/ a small plastic brayer. I don't expect much from these at $1 apiece, but you would have thought I'd brought home the biggest and best toy he could imagine!!! Oh and to really make his day I went back to Michaels and picked up a small plastic clay gun w/ about 20 disks! Oh no! What have I done?!?!? vbg -- Polly -- don't spook my groove... icq 13968113 http://saxoncreek.com/ |

Cool, I would've loved those when I was a kid.
