Default most interesting quilt question

I have made two types, both in flannel. The first was for my DGD and it was
squares with stars in the center of the blocks. The second was square in a
square in a square - I used a lot of scraps of flannel for that one. The
added layers made this a very warm quilt.

Lots of denim quilts at
http://www.straw.com/quilting/articles/bluejeans.html

Here's one I made http://webpages.charter.net/jaccola/ShermShirts.JPG.
The colored squares are actually pieces of knit shirts, not flannel, but
flannel would certainly work, too. A friend of ours is the director of a
Bible camp; I used a bunch of his old staff shirts for the quilt, which
was sold at the camp's benefit auction.

The best denim quilts I've seen were not the ragged edge ones. They
were all regular pieced ones. Some had more than one color of denim,
most incorporated red and white in some way (like with red bandana
print material), and one had the addition of blue striped ticking
material.

Default most interesting quilt question

I saw one at the State Fair here a few years ago. Again, not raggy or
raw edged, just regular piecing. It was done with lots of colors of
denim with a lot of different patchwork trees, and such. Then some
appliqué of animals like moose and such. Was a really neat quilt.

I made one that was like a castle for my son. It is here
http://community.webshots.com/photo/...82711239JJXSoH
If that doesnt work my user name on webshots is Elywyn.
http://community.webshots.com/user/Elywyn It is under quilts and is
called Dereks castle I belive. It was fun to invent... but any pic you can
create with squares would work. Like Loom beading pictures.
