Default Knitting Machine

I've been a hand knitter for a year, and I just accuried a Brother
KH-840 Knitting Machine. (Pictu

I have NO CLUE how to use it. I know how to assemble it from the book,
but I can't cast on or anything. Does anyone know a good video I can
use to learn? free would be nice, too.

It's just like mine! I have to relearn how to use it everytime I set
it up (which, granted, is rarely). I managed to learn to cast on from
the instruction book that came with it (though it's always been a hit
and miss operation at the best of times). There are different methods
and I'd recommend a "manual" approach to get started with. Your local
library may still have some books on machine knitting that can help. I
have a very general one that lists instructions for all kinds of
machines.

This is not for your specific machine but may help:

Good luck!

Dillion (and anyone else who may be interested),
If you go to the Brother site in Canada, you can download a digital copy of
the manual for your machine. It may not be a perfect copy, but it could
help you get started.

Happy knitting.
