Crystal Palace Yarns
has anyone worked with any of the crystal palace brand yarns? I picked up
several today, mostly for scarf making and was wondering what others thought of them. Also they have a bunch of nice, mostly beginner patterns on their site http://www.straw.com/cpy/free_patterns.html LL Weisse |

I haven't worked with the crystal palace 'brand', but I've worked with a lot of similar novelty yarns.... I find that they make better wraps and stoles rather than scarves, but that's jmho..... thanks for the link, too! Noreen -- STRIP * tease * to email me. |

They work great for scarves!
There are 52 scarf up on the website now so lots of examples. See the BlackDog knitting blog for lots of comments on their knitting with Crystal Palace for scarves - http://blackdog.threadbearfiberarts.com lots of photos of CP and other yarns in scarves. S. I've done a number of scarves / shawls in various combinations of Splash and
Fizz and DecoRibbon -- lots of fun to work with, once you get the hang of it, although I had to break myself of the tendency to knit too tightly with it. There are some really neat scarf patterns on that website. "LLWeisse" wrote in message ... has anyone worked with any of the crystal palace brand yarns? Hi
I remember awhile back someone suggesting Crystal Palace Yarn substitutions....I loved all the pictures of their scarf patterns and I will check out our local yarn shop to see what ones they have. What yarn substitutions has anyone used for the Crystal Palace scarves? If you were selling the scarves, what would be a good price? I sold some splash scarves at a Christmas boutique for $30....and I KNOW they sell them in Orange County for $75.... Thanks for any information...... -- Linda S. in So.
