Default crazy wildass idea

Anybody ever melt a glass object down into a puddle, let it cool, and
work with the resultant sheet of glass? I found something....

The result will be glass that is 1/4" thick. So, if you can work with
that then go for it.

Thanx! I may have a problem though; I'm getting data telling me the
melting point is 1135*C. This cannot be right...... It's a chunk of uranium
glass, aka vaseline glass.
