Default Just a Reminder about sharp rotary blades

As I write to you with only one hand, I hope all of you remember to keep the
fingers you might need later out of the path of the evil rotary cutter.

Ok, now you have me worried! Are we really talking about having only one
hand left, or was there a major cut of some kind?

Hope you are ok!

Guess you outdid me. I only sliced my thumb today. (But like a true quilter,
I made sure no blood got on any fabric! *grin*)

Thanks for the warning, I still remember the trouble I had when I lightly
caressed my knuckle across the blade, so I am not likely to forget fast but
I do really appreciate the reminder. hope you heal fast Cyndi

How did it happen so I shall try not to do it? I actually just bought the Olfa
45 yesterday and a larger board. I found finally a cute little 28 that has a
tiny board for applique which I could not resist either. I do not have plans
for it really but I used it yesterday to make a bias strip for the christening
gown color and it worked sensationally. No more Fiskers......

I picked up a dainty 18mm Olfa. I must remember to keep it
out of DGD reach!

I love the 28mm - got mine on ebay only because it was a fabulous
price and it came with 5 extra blades. I did find that it is the
perfect size when I am doing my paper pieceing. I set a little
cutting board to the left of my sewing machine and it works great. I
also bought a 60 mm with one of my 50% off Joann's coupons. Again,
with no specific purpose in mind other than it would come in handy
someday. Well, last sunday was THAT day! I took a tumbler class and
I was able to cut 10-15 tumblers at once with the larger blade. I
have started to buy the cutters that close automatically though, just
to be safe. You've all heard the story of my little kitty whose
curosity about an open blade gave her an unintended nosejob!
