Default Happy Dance in MN

Just finished my DS1's birthday quilt- a queen size "tipsy nine patch with a
star" out of the Jan/Feb 2004 "Quiltmaker" magazine- I saw it and thought
of him immediately. I did it in all shades of blues- his favorite color. The
only change I made is I took a row of blocks off one side After I sewed them
together of course) and added a second large border. I got a little scared
on the MQing- did a meander- my rational was to counter all the straight
lines. Looks good if you hold to the galloping horse theory. I got all the
blues from one LQS. He loves it. I finished it only 1 week late- pretty darn
good if you ask me.
Now to put away all the blue scraps!
(happy sigh)
and I don't have a digital camera, sorry.

But yours is the voice I heard whispering "handquilt, handquilt..."
maybe when the kids are gone- I have time to do this much now! I was so
happy the day I could set up my sewing machine and not have to immediately
put it away when done.
As Peppermint Patty once told Charlie Brown, "Everything in its own time,
sir."

if you look in the magazine, it will look pretty much the same- that's about
as good as I can do.

Which is exactly why I just bought a scissors leash that says "To Quilt is
Human, to Finish is Divine." Makes me think of you.
