US equivalent of soluweb
The trumpet flower project from Beaded dimensional embroidery by Helan Pearce
is saying 'do me soon.' I don't have any of Kaalund wools or silk so will use threads from my stash. The instructions say to put a layer of soluweb under each top piece after most of the embroidery is completed, blanket stitch it in place, and the dissolve it. I've got Sulky paper solvy and something called rinsaway. Both seem to be similar to soluweb. I'm concerned about getting the wool wet and colors bleeding. The project I used the paper solvy on ended up in the trash because the floss colors ran. Any advice or alternatives would be appreciated. -- another anne, add ingers to reply |
