What would you do with Fiesta La Luz
The nearest LYS is about 100 miles north of here in my hometown. I
visit every few months and stop by the shop to purchase something special for myself. My latest aquisition was a skein of Fiesta La Luz 100% silk, with about 210 yards. It's been sitting in my yarn basket for a couple of months, and I think I'm finally ready to do something with it. I only got one hank (it's outrageously expensive IMO, but it was a birthday present to myself) and I was thinking of a lace scarf, maybe Branching Out. My question is, what do you think of that pattern in 100% silk? I've done a few lace projects and I've knit this scarf twice in alpaca/silk 50/50, with very good results. Has anyone used this yarn? Got any suggestions or comments? I'd love to hear them. It's just such gorgeous yarn, and I want to do something special with it. TIA Hesira |

Doing a branching out scarf sounds good to me. With a very special
yarn like that there is some merit to using a pattern you know and like. Whatever you do, be sure to share a pic. I will have to google the yarn name as I don't think I have ever seen it. Judy |

hesira spun a FINE 'yarn':

TIA Hesira end quoted A Branching Out would be gorgeous, AND since you've done a few, an easy project, to boot. I'm wondering tho, perhaps instead a moebious, IF you're *tired* of Branching Out? OR, perhaps a different lacey scarf, one that's reversible? A drop stitch scarf maybe. There is one called Waterfalls that is done out
of La Luz in the XRX book "Ponchos and Wraps, A Knitters Dozen." The scarf first appeared in Knitters Magazine "hesira" wrote in message s.com...
