Color of the Month

Is there such a thing as a listing of color for each of the months of the
year? Say, June would be yellow or something? I know there are birthstones
for each month which have color, except for diamonds. Any thoughts?

One of my sisters was born in July and her birthstone is ruby. Maybe
it's different on the other side of the pond?

September's color is sapphire!

LittleBit who had better be getting something with sapphires this year--I'm
hitting the big 4-0 this year!

Garnet, like topaz, comes in many different colors - but the most
common garnet is dark red (darker than most rubies). Paula B., whose
kids are garnet, ruby, and topaz birthstones

I think July is Ruby, which would be red. But January is Garnet, so
would that be red too?

Maybe there's another tradition other than birthstones that assigns
colours - but if there is, I son't know what it is.

You`re right - July must be the Ruby. DH`s birthday is in May - Emerald.
Hence my confusion - I knew it was ONE of us!

There are also flowers of the month. I know February is violet and
June is rose. February's stone is amethyst. The only problem is that
several month's flowers have or could have the same colors.

Not quite colours of the month, but there are colours associated with
various signs of the zodiac. Some use the ruling planet's associations, so
that Jupiter makes purple a Sagittarian colour. Others are more
subjective.
