yeah - they have made some changes -- the changes WERE talked about for some
time before they were initiated -- (for instance -for some time there was a tiny blurb on each ad that said something like "see this auction with the upcoming new format" -- or something along those lines. The thing I notice most is that I get a lot of page errors.... and it is even SLOWER loading ads now. I gave up ADVERTISING there because all the garbage you have to go through to just list a single item is ridiculously time consuming. LOL - yes, the auction and store pages look really different. So far, I
don't like the layout, but I am hoping I can get used to it. -- Kandice Seeber Air & Earth Designs http://www.lampwork.net "alia" wrote in message om... i wanted to be the first to post about this trippy eh?????? alia |

ROFL - well, sweetie, you'll be even MORE mad later on tonight then! I
am actually glad that from the buyer's perspective the changes aren't so bad. eBay definitely does not want to scare honest, decent buyers away. -- Kandice Seeber Air & Earth Designs http://www.lampwork.net "alia" wrote in message om... o... ok.... so you guys dont like it so much, i like it better much easier to take in visually i think but i come form a buyer's perspective and not a sellers, and i am one of those rare birds who generally likes change.... hey kandice, i might just go buy some more of your beads right now... i am so mad at you for posting more!! you know i can't resist!!!! alia p.s. if not today soon |

They no longer let you link to your website anyway. yeah - though most people do it anyway... LOL I believe you can mention it on your "about me page" - mine still resides on ebay from when I used to sell.... nowadays - I just spend money there that I shouldn't... ROTFL I think a lot of small businesses who would not otherwise have used eBay were listing there as a form of advertisement, and that eBay will lose money from the new policy. They're trying to "encourage" (read, coerce) people to sell from eBay stores intead of their own websites. OTOH, you can have a link to a page about the product, and the page about the product can have a link to your homepage, so that works too, I guess. I'm not liking eBay very much right now, on account of some things that have been going on with other lampworkers getting screwed around with. -- -Kalera Mom of Juliet, 5, Sam, 3, and Ophelia, born 5/31/03 Wife of the incomparable Moxley of www.spaceplex.com See us at www.strattonhome.org |

I've gotta say, in defense of Ebay Stores, that it's a very simple,
economical way of selling multiple items. I've been averaging 10 sales a month from my Store, regardless of what I am doing (or not) on auctions, and the listing fees are much lower. I used to sell direct from my website and never did very well. And that was when linking from Ebay to your site was allowed. I'd probably run away screaming from Ebay if it weren't for my store. -- KarenK Desert Dreamer Designs http://members.cox.net/desertdreameraz/ Ebay Sto http://www.stores.ebay.com/desertdreamerdesigns JustBeads: http://www.justbeads.com/search/ql.cfm?s=DesertDreamer |
