Looks like a military insignia and I would guess British as it does not look like anything I have seen on American uniforms. You may try some of the antique dealers. I would google antique military insigina, British and see what you get. Good luck on this. I do not know of a producer. Try checking with the Royal School of
Embroidery in London. They do that kind of work and may be able to guide you. Also check with Tricia Wilson Nguyen (google has several hits for her) as she designs and does research on metal thread embroidery. She is writing a book on the subject. She might know of a manufacturer. Are you looking for the patch to be made for you or are you looking for the metal thread? Alice On Nov 9, 12:52 pm, "Flaviuzz" wrote: Hi, thanks for the answer. Many of the British and Commonwealth military insignia that
use gold work like this are - or at least were - made in India. But check with the RSN first. -- Lurker "Flaviuzz" wrote in message oups.com... : Hi, thanks for the answer. : I'm interesting to the kind of manufacturing; patch made of metellic : yarn that in italy is called "canottiglia". : : I need an productor. : Thanks : : On 9 Nov, 19:57, " wrote: : Looks like a military insignia and I would guess British as it does not : look like anything I have seen on American uniforms.
