I love quilting. I think I do very well at quilting. But, I suck at
color choices. I'm stuck on what color to use for the background in
the stack'n whack quilt I'm making out of my great bug fabric. The
quilt will be for a 6 year old boy.

So, I'm leaving it up to you guys. Vote for which background color
you like and I'll tally the votes and go with the majority.

I would definitely go with the yellow, but it's not so much a color choice
as it is a value choice, the stack and whack portion simply shows up much
better on the yellow because there is more contrast between the values with
this choice than with the blue or the orange. (Especially the orange, the
blocks just almost disappear into the background with this choice).

I've been a lurker, and if I may vote it's for the light
blue - it seems to make the fabric color pop!

I have to go with Yellow, it sets off the blue so great.
This is coming from a person who doesn't like yellow all that much.

I like the blue best. The red is very bold, and is a good choice, but I
think the blue makes the S&W pinwheel show up better. That particular yellow
is too pale, but a darker orangey-yellow might work.

I'm voting for lime green. Oh, wait, that wasn't one of the choices. Well,
the red then. (But Lime Green would be ..sublime!)

I am having to vote for the yellow. The red drowns out the bugs, and the
blue is nice, but just too much blue. The yellow really pulls out the
starts and the bugs nicely.

The red would be my first choice, light blue my second choice. I don't
really like the yellow, but that may just be the way my computer shows
the color. After reading the other responses, you may find so many
different opinions that we haven't really helped you much
