How wonderful that you could save at least part of it! I would love
to see yours! Paula B. I love that series -- brings back some memories. It was the first project I did with such dense stitching. I stitched the right and left parts in the beginning of 1988, and was halfway through the larger middle piece when my apartment building burned down. The finished pieces were deep in a pile of stash fabric and WIPs (WsIP? what's the proper plural?) and thus were salvageable after a few washes and trimming of damaged fabric. The unfinished piece was in the living room, which was a total loss. It took me a year to get back the nerve to start the middle piece over, but I did. If you look carefully at the framed pieces now, the middle is a lighter background color and brighter colors. Makes a great conversation piece! Penny |

I';d love to do this one, but can't find the pattern anywhere. I've looked
online for just the leaflet, and under Better Homes and Gardens (I think it was 101 best loved patterns). I looked on the SAL site for the book reference and still no luck. Help! Isabel "Dorothy Harris" wrote in message ... Hello everyone! Just wanted to let everyone know that a Stitch-A-Long is starting on Feb. 1, 2004 for Amid Amish Life. I finally did find the book that the pattern is in but I just cant afford it right now. If you search under Amazon.com for 101 Best Loved Charts from Cross Stitch and Country Crafts you will find it. It costs about $35 bucks! KJ |

I have always wanted to stitch this one! I have the chart and fabric ready
to go, just not sure I want to commit to it right now. I am still thinking about it and have the link saved in case I do decide to go ahead with it. Pam |

Meredith, rumor on the e-list is that someone got the book for much less than
$35. Join the e-list and get the info. If you buy the book, you might be able to talk me into buying it from you when you're done stitching -- e-mail me off-list to discuss. Meanwhile, have you checked HoffmanDis.com? They may have the leaflet for a lot less than the hardback book. -- Finished 12/14/03 -- Mermaid (Dimensions) WIP: Angel of Autumn, Calif Sampler, Holiday Snowglobe, Guide the Hands (2d one) Paralegal - Writer - Editor - Researcher http://hometown.aol.com/kmc528/KMC.html |
