Problems with Bernina 440
Can anyone tell me if they had problems with stitch selection on the
440? I tired to do a blanket stitch by selecting #51 and #56 came up. There are others stitches that aren't correct too. I'm wondering just how large a problem this will be to fix. I hate the thought of losing my machine for an extended period of time. Thanks for your help. |

Problems with Bernina 440
Back on July 27th, I told Ruby this about a similar problem and we never
heard from her again so maybe it's not so good advice. Turn your machine off. Unplug it. Unhook the power cord. Then put it all back. That is lazy computer tech speak for: Hang up and re-boot. For no reason - my 1230 acted like that but it had at least 100,000 miles on it so I gave to DDIL and bought the 440. Never, ever. Not once has it defied her. I think it's the moon. Might be just pure fear. I dunno. Polly "Bonnie NJ" wrote in message ... Can anyone tell me if they had problems with stitch selection on the 440? Problems with Bernina 440
Well Polly, I did what you said and then I looked at the chart once again. I think the fact that I actually stopped and paid attention to what I was doing helped. I kept putting in the wrong numbers and expected the machine to come up with the correct stitch. I was putting in 51 and hoping to get 45. I guess I really expect too much of my machine. Thanks for the help........ DH said the problem was between the machine and the chair.
