Default OT - Went to the hospital last night / very early this morning!

Thank you for your good wishes, and also for the information about that
other test. I will mention this to my doctor at my appointment on Thursday
and see what he thinks. I had never heard of that test before. All they
did to me after my first attack, when the specialist said my symptoms were
identical to gall bladder attacks, was to give me a blood workup, x-rays,
and ultra-sound... then a couple of months later he did that other test
(can't remember the name of it now) where they spray your throat so you
can't feel it (I'm here to testify that it does NOT work, I felt it!) and
then put a tube down your throat to check things out. I'm glad to hear
about this other test, and I will mention it for sure to my doctor.

Thanks again!

Gemini

Gemini,

My husband had what he thought were gall bladders attacks of varying
intensities for several years. The doctor did ultrasound and other things
and never saw gallstones. Then after moving to San Angelo when he had one
of these that was especially bad he made an appointment with our then
"new" doctor. She did a test called a hydascan (not sure of the spelling)
where they check the ejection fracture of the gall bladder. They
determined that his gall bladder was diseased and he had it removed. Now,
you may have had this test already and I am barking up the wrong tree, but
I just wanted to throw the idea out there.

I hope you are feeling better soon and back to 100%!

Guess what, Katherine... remember the conversation we had about someone
adding stress to my life? Well, earlier that night that person actually
showed up here at the house. I felt somewhat calm at the time, even if
*slightly* aggravated... and then this happened to me a few hours later.
*sigh*

I am trying not to be stressed, and I even stayed clear of the visitor.

Anyway, thank you for your kind thoughts... I will try to take better
care. I have an appointment with my family doctor this Thursday...
hopefully I'll be feeling better before then, but better or not, I am
going to be telling him about this last episode.

OH, Gem, I am so sorry to hear that! Just what you need - NOT! Take
things easy, my friend, and remember that stress causes/aggravates many
problems.

Higs,
Katherine

Gem, just tell whoever showed up at the house again that your doctor says
you must stay in bed or at home resting undisturbed for an extended period
of time (YOU pick a length). Hopefully, that will give you some relief from
the person adding stress to your life with their visits. And I just KNOW
the doctor told you to avoid stress, so this is a stress-relieving
technique. If you aren't up to it, have Matthew relay the comment (I am
guessing that he is not the person in question.....)
Hope you start feeling better.

Well, if life weren't so exciting, we'd all be dead, right?

Take care.

LOL Well, Casper sure threw a fit when he saw the visitor even though it
wasn't the first time seeing that person. His hackles were up all the way
down his back! I think he knew that it upset "Mama", because he wouldn't
stop even when Matthew yelled at him. I had to call Casper to me to quiet
him down!
