Just for the record, Bruce, what temperature is "bitterly cold"?

About 0 degrees Celsius (32F). Fortunately there was no wind to make it
feel even colder. When the sun rose just before 9 am this morning
(Tuesday) the fields behind us were "white over" and the car windscreen
was covered in ice, it's only about the second time we've seen that
since coming here 3 years ago.

my oldest DD
was born 15 years ago tomorrow! man, time flies!
