http://www.flickr.com/photos/28328779@N00/1152023063/ Does anybody here have a whatchamacallit for holding quilts while being photographed. I've seen professional 'frames' in some magazines, but does anyone have a home-made/cheap solution? joan |

The only ones I've seen are too expensive for my taste. :S -- Sandy in Henderson, near Las Vegas sfoster 1 (at) earthlink (dot) net (remove/change the obvious) http://www.sandymike.net |

Not exactly cheap, but if you're going to display quilts fairly often this
is a really nice stand. http://www.iconusa2.com/online/PORT-A-STAND.htm Google the Savage Port-a-stand and see what prices you can find. I bought a couple for my guild for $99. each including the carrying bag. They are great. -- Kathyl (KJ) remove "nospam" before mchsi http://community.webshots.com/user/kathylquiltz "Sandy" wrote in message ... Let's see....would it be reasonable if you called it a portable design wall?
You could run the top pipe through a flannel sheet hem and have a design wall. Hang laundry on it? Ummmm what else? Just trying to justify it for you. you're welcome..... :-) -- Kathyl (KJ) remove "nospam" before mchsi http://community.webshots.com/user/kathylquiltz "Sandy" wrote in message ... My guild has several of the port a stands. I never thought about it but
I could bring one home from a meeting and use it if I needed to. A good fundraiser for guilds could be a member that is good at photographing (or even maybe a pro) could take photos of members quilts for a fee. There was an article on photographing quilts in a QNM some time ago. THey might have had some good ideas. Boy, I feel old an forgetful some days.
