Just thought I'd say hello as I haven't really posted in ages.

Self employment is keeping me _very_ busy. Far too much to do, but I

managed
to catch up with most of the newsgroup posts yesterday, so in theory I'm

up
to date!

Admittedly, I still haven't unpacked all of the boxes from when we moved
house last November, so I should be doing that, but the lure of the
newsgroup brought me here again )

Same situation, except I don't always get to read them as much as I want,
sometimes by the time I get on here, there are SO many posts, I can't get
through them all! New job after several years of mostly unemployment due
to downsizing is keeping me busy.

Carol, I'm sorry about your DS and his accident! I can vouch for the
Saturns though, I'm on my third Saturn now and wouldn't have anything else.
My accident last year was in my Saturn sedan (slammed into very hard by an
SUV while stopped at a light and pushed into another SUV), and while I ended
up with a cracked vertebrae in my back, I did not have any other injuries
(not even a visible bruise) and did not require any medical treatment beyond
the Xrays and ibuprofen.

Not doing anywhere near as much knitting as I'd like to, but somehow I have
still been able to shop a couple times when there is a sale. Too many
WIPS and PIGS, and not enough FOs. One of these days I'll get settled back
into a routine again.

Hi Karen: Congrats on the new job, hope everything works out well
for you.
Could you please tell me what PIGS means? I know what WIPS and FOs
are, but don't recall hearing about pigs. Thanks!

I know that feeling! I'm still slowly sorting through all of my
sons stuff (both of them) in the garage, but it's so hot in there I may
have to wait a couple of more weeks. And my sister just told me that
some of her stuff is in there too.......
Glad to hear you're so popular with your self employment, but we have
missed you.

Mirjam and Nora,
You are both right about the best way to get it done is just to get at it.
I have moved from a house to a condominium so my storage is limited and I am
having to sort and get rid of things at the same time and putting things
away. Also, have been real busy at work so that is taking much of my time.
I will follow your advice and just put on some music and get it done. No
time for knitting here.

Sarah and Carol, so you both still suffer from "Boxinatis ",,,, i
know the feeling , have had it many time after each ,ove ,,, Best
remedy ,,, UNPACKING ,, as much as possible ,,,, put on a mice radio
program and while listening DO IT

Hi Sarah & Carol,

It's great to see you both back on the same day too. I hope you get the
boxes unpacked and I know what you mean. It took about a month or more
for us to get it done when we moved.

Hugs,

Nora

Hi Carol, good to see you! Are you happy with your new home?
I know exactly how you feel!
when I moved in here, a cleaning bureau had done a good job here,
but I have never in my life cleant so much!
Soap smell and *rubber gloves* every day for months!
I acted like a perfect housekeeper!
But, sorry to say,
I really don't mind MY OWN mess and *dirt* as much as should! LOL!
AUD ;-)

Aud,
So nice to know that I am not the only one with that problem. I have been
scrubbing like I really enjoy cleaning but the fact is that once is only my
dirt then it will not be cleaned so much.
I like my new place. I am only 3 miles from my DGC and closer to work also.
Thank you,
Carol in TN

Oh, Carol, I'm sorry to hear about your son's car accident but I'm

relieved
he is alright. That is so scary! Is he okay with driving now? I think

if
I were ever in a bad accident it would take me a long time to work up the
nerve to get behind the wheel again.

LauraJ

Laura,
Thank you for the concern. He was a bit scared at first but now he is just
very careful when making a left turn. (He was turning left on what he
thought was a green arrow and the guy in the truck was going straight
through). Pulling up to see the car totally wrecked at 11 pm and seeing my
son standing there unhurt brought tears to my eyes.
