I love this poem, and have a copy in my dining room.

Higs,
Katherine

Hi Katherine
I remember you liking that poem

I goofed on some koolaid dye a couple of months ago and now have some
dark purple and *very* cheery (cherry?) red roving in my stash. The
purple is a smaller amount since it turned out the way I wanted but I
left the red unattended and it went red, not pink.

If you can use it, lemme know! I was going to use it for a thrummed
'something' but probably won't...or I can get some more!

Well, that sounds interesting. I have some thrummed patterns that could use
some brightness.

Ah Cher with an eye specialist in the family, we have been told to not go
that route, because it helps for a little while but after that there may
be all kinds of complications and problems, that cannot be repaired. Laser
treatments for the eyes are so new that there is not all the much feedback
on longtime consequence. I also have slow growing cataracts in my eyes,
and for now they can't do anything about these as yet. Hey who said that
getting old was fun....LOL For now I just stick with glasses and use what
ever aids will help...LOL

We were talking about it in our yoga class, and one of the ladies had not
heard of this poem so thanks for posting it again (I am not sure posted
it here Cher or someone else.

it is a lovely one and I have passed it on, so there is one more of us to
enjoy it

Hi Els I must say I wouldn't want to go down that route myself, but know
several people that have and seem to have benefitted by it. It is done all
the time today.

The first time I ever heard of it in this country was for a girl who had it
done for medical reasons, something to do with her sugar levels or something
anyway that was back about 1984 and it didn't work, she lost alot of her
sight.

I think many must have this poem Katherine, I can and will relate to it as
I grow...mind you, at this time of year it is nothing to see me in the
fields with a purple bucket, collecting dye stuff, and as the year
progresses I am there again collecting berries and this time with a
stick..lol

Els,
I had the laser surgery about 12 years ago, and I have had no problems. I am
a very satisfied customer.
