Down for the count.

That was a clue and answer in yesterday's Usatoday online crossword
puzzle, and I just could not resist.

What a great one! I am a cryptic crossword addict, and I love it when a
clue is particularly 'brilliant'.

yup, thats a good clue for sure, lol.
i've been doing the NZ Herald cryptic crossword for about 25yrs now.
so i guess i'm addicted as well.
some days i finish it, more days i get a lot of the words, most days i get
only some of it done.
just as i start getting good at it, they change authors, it is sooooo
obvious.
sigh...
i'll have to go have a look at the USA Today online one but not til
tomorrow.
my brain is fried as i find out today there is fracking going on in NZ now
and the company that bought out Shell wants to do more of it.
OMG!!! what are they thinking. that has to be the worst idea for this
location.
after the horrendous earthquake that destroyed 3/4 of our second biggest
city they want to subject the rest of the country to similar ground
activity. oh ****!!!
i need a good nights sleep as tomorrow is likely to be more of the same.

Oh good grief! You really should have given a warning such as : have
coffee first. Down for the Count, indeed. LOL but first my dim little mind
sat here and looped for a tiny while. Polly
