DD2 is doing quite well in her chosen profession.

Big plus at the page, at least one nice pic with Potato. I have now
learned that Potato is in fact a female.

Wow! She's beautiful. Pretty exotic stuff. How long has
she owned Potato?

Very impressive!
And how do you train Potato to hold on? At first I thought it was an
inanimate belt decoration she was wearing! LOL

In order...

Potato is in fact owned by a DJ DD is friends with. She is a rescue
snake that started dancing because Mundi needed a snake for a gig and
Potato needed some socialization. It worked out well, and Potato has
been working for mice ever since. Mundi was surprised at first to find
out how in demand Potato was. Mundi has looked into getting a snake of
her own, but she does not want to be one of those people that gets a
large snake and chucks it into an aquarium with a lightbulb and a saucer
of water. If she gets one she wants to build a proper habitat for it.
Thus she is saving her shekels, researching, and looking about her house
to determine the best way to build cat proof reptile living quarters.

As I understand it you tell gender in boas by the shape of the tail and
some scale differences on the underside. For absolute certainty you can
probe it's cloaca, which freaks the snake out a bit. Even knowing that I
doubt I could tell you snake to snake. I am not the sort that goes about
probing cloacas, I don't think I would ever want to know that badly!

You don't really need to teach a constrictor species to hold on. It's
what they do. She crawls all over her trying to snuggle down in the warm
spots. Which means Potato really likes Mundi's underarms and cleavage,
and Mundi has incorporated moves into her routines to keep the snake off
her neck. Lots of near surface blood vessels in your neck, and that
makes it a warm spot.
