Hopefully he makes it with no incident - is he going to wait til after rush (or slow) hour? Wrong airport--we're out by Dulles ;-) Fortunately, he got out there before "rush" hour and before it got too icky, so he said it wasn't too bad. Whew. He did have fun skiing, so all's well that ends well. I don't know why - for some reason I thought you were in Alexandria. Much easier being local to Dulles. Now I'll have to hook you into stitch'n'bitch night in Sterling (at the Hang-Up, 3rd Wed of the month). Glad he made it, and all is good. Ellice |

I have a preschool board meeting that night :-( It goes away in the summer, though, so maybe I could at least go then. Best wishes, Ericka |

Just thought I would put in a report from Ottawa, Canada, the second coldest capital city in the world (after Outer Mongolia). We are having an "old-fashioned" winter, with lots of cold weather, but nothing really out of the ordinary. We have missed the recent big snowstorm which affected much to the south of us; we just had a couple of inches. So although all this cold weather is frustrating, we cannot really complain. And it's Ground-Hog Day next week!! Only about 8 more weeks of winter. Ottawa's Winterlude, our winter festival, starts soon, so hopefully the weather will stay below freezing until the festivities are all over. -- Jim Cripwell. The gods do not subtract from the allotted span of one's life, any time that is spent in stitching. Adapted from a sign on The Cobb, Lyme Regis, England. |
