Princess Auctions in OB
Hello everyone! Orphan Beads will be starting silent auctions for
Princess Rebekah in the near future. Please see http://www.lampwork.net/rebekahauctions.html for more information on who Princess Rebekah is. A lot of us have seen the other wonderful efforts in raising funds for the Princess's family in their time of need--most notably the ebay auctions. A lot of us really want to help, but we quickly get knocked off in the bidding. So, there will now be auctions in Orphan Beads--for those of us that want to help but can't play in the big leagues. Details below. The way this will work is simple. You send me a picture of your item along with a description, a suggested starting price, and a shipping price. I will post them on the auction page being created just for this purpose, along with an end time. All auctions will run for 5 days only. If at the end of the 5 days there are no bids, you (still being in possession of the item) can do as you please with it. *Posting an AD in Orphan Beads is always welcome* I will take silent bids in an e-mail account set up for them, and at the auction's end, I will notify both the winner and the donor. The winner will then send payment (primarily paypal, but other methods will work too) and upon reciept, I'll let the donor know that it's time to ship the item. So as not to create too many PayPal fees, I will send multiple auction winnings from time to time to Kandice Seeber, who will accept them like cash donations and forward them to the Princess's family, along with the eBay auctions winnings. Because this is happening in OB, all auctions should start at well below retail prices, in the OB way. That way, all of us "Financially Challenged Beaders" can help too. We are looking for typical OB offerings--small amounts of beads, and bead related items. Every little bit helps, so even these smaller auctions are doing a great service in helping out Princess Rebekah and her family. More information to follow. Thank you, -- ~Candace~ Orphan Beads ~low cost and bartering for the financially challenged beader~ http://snipurl.com/6s4t |

I'm confused again. Do you, or do you not, want non-financially challenged
beaders bidding on the OB items? Seems to me, you'd want the most $$ possible to pass along to our sweetie! The Blessed Fiddy, Patroness Saint of the Disorganized LC in Sunny So Cal Personality Development Specialist (Full-Time Mom!) |

Anyone can bid--the auction pictures won't be in the yahoo group itself.
This is just a way for the folks with less to money to work with to have a fighting chance. I will be filling in all the blanks about this later today, I think. (the e-mail address for the bids, the website address for the auction pictures, etc) "LC aka Fiddy" wrote in message ... I'm confused again.
