Default Old vs new 'enhanced' inkjet paper

I've been playing around with some epson Stylus-Pro printer paper (doing
transfers), but I've noticed in Glass-Attic that the S041062 order-number
switched 'formula' at some point. This paper I have is about 3 years old,
so I'm assuming I have the 'old' kind. Is it still 'no go' with the new
formula, or has someone found a 'work-around'?
