Default O.T. Anyone know how

to get rid of a computer virus called X-Max.net? It is some kind of a
redirection nasty & DH can't get rid of it:-( Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

wow, new one to me too, nana.
i did a google on 'X-Max.net virus' to see what it was.
by the looks of it you cant use the google or yahoo search
engine to figure this out as that is just what the virus
affects, any search thru those two search engines sends your
browser off on a tangent to somewhere else, really annoying
in the extreme i'll bet.

i came across this website with the info what it is and they
have a download to remove it.

i've no idea if it will work for you but you could have a
look/see at any rate.
let us know if this works.
i'm no off to update my anti-virus software. it is done
automatically everyday but one cant be too careful, eh.

Thanks so much Jeanne. DH found this one & it will remove it at a
cost:-( I have found that I can search with Dogpile. I'll try to be
patientsigh Thanks again. I also can't get any MS updates.
