Reminds me of a garter carriage technique I saw a few years ago. If it's a hand knit pattern, I'm really intrigued! Eleanore, that kumihimo loom is amazing. What an interesting synthesis of the wood/weights method and the card method! I like the idea of using those bobbins to hold whole skeins of floss, too.
