Default new family member

Morning all
Would like to announce the arrival of the newest member of my family ....Jan
...... she is a Janome MC 6500 Professional.and will be taking over the tasks
that have become onerous to my 33 year old Bernina. Bernie is happy to move
over and observe someone else doing all the work .
Life is still so busy that I don't feel I've had a proper amount of time to
get her accustomed to her new home and job. So far we have played with feet,
stitches etc. on scraps. Sewed the borders on a queen size quilt, sewed
together a few placemats that were cut out and ready to go, and experimented
with decorative stitches for topstitching on them. Hopefully, today I will
get another hour or two with her.
We are packing up tonight to do a whirlwind trip through Saskatchewan over
the next 5 days. (We have 6 of our 16 kids over there, and another 2 north
east of Edmonton that we will catch on the way back) So will not have much
time with my new baby till well into next week.

Take care all

Maybe I could come and stay with Jan while you are gone??? Umm, that would

Barbara in Florida where it will be 88 degrees today!

Hullo Marilyn
I have had one of these for a few months now, and I really like it. It
has even persuaded me to do a *little* free-motion quilting on an
exhibition quilt!! I'm sure you will enjoy it as you get quite familiar
with it. There are a few things that the manual doesn't mention, but it
is very user friendly, so I'm sure you'll find them out.

Don't you love Alberta. Normally I love the snow. Makes me feel are warm
and snugly. Today I'm not happy with it. It wasn't supposed to snow and
now I can't get to my dr's appt. Have to worry about a friend trying to
make it to Edmonton for a funeral. Where are you that's it's snowing cuz
my friend says it's not snowing in Edmonton. Have a safe trip.

Hi Joanna
I'ts not snowing today but sure did yesterday! I am in Cremona which is west
of Carstairs or north of Cochrane if that helps you.
The snow yesterday really had me worrying about this trip we are supposed to
gone on already. Sounds like the worst is over tho so the weekend should be
okay for travel.

Hope you have a nice snuggly one with no more worries about roads!

Well I'm sure my two golden retrievers would be happy to have company.....
If you brave all their barking and snarling when you first come in the
door - beware of the attack cat lurking under the furniture.... (grin)

I'm trying to ignore the 88 degree comment as I venture out in the
snow...brrrr....
