Could you choose the best 2 of these 4 pics
Hi,
I got 4 pics of a 'shrink' I crocheted, they're at www.shellworld.net/~davidsky/shrink.htm , and tell me which 2 are the best (including the 1 close-up - which one is that?). Also, are the colors variations of green alone? ('variegated green'), or are there also other colors? The reason I'm asking is because I'm putting these 2 pics along with others at www.shellworld.net/~davidsky/crochet.htm , including text descriptions for blind people like myself. Thanks very much! Hi David, how are you? It's Magie Noire here. I tried to view the shrinks at
www.shellworld.net/~davidsky/shrink.htm but they didn't "open" . Sofia D "David R. Sky" a écrit dans le message de news: ... Pictures 1 and 4 are very good. Picture 3 is the only one that isn't a
close-up. Nice work! Georgia www.georgiamorgan.net "David R. Sky" wrote in message .bc.ca... Hi Sofia,
I'm doing very well thanks, enjoying more and more crocheting these days - how are you? I don't know why they didn't open for you, I can successfully access them via www.shellworld.net/~davidsky/shrink1a.jpg www.shellworld.net/~davidsky/shrink1b.jpg www.shellworld.net/~davidsky/shrink1c.jpg www.shellworld.net/~davidsky/shrink1d.jpg That means I'm able to download them - how or whether they "open", *shrug* Thanks! Thanks Georgia,
They're all close-ups except #3? The guy who took the pics has gone on vacation so I can't ask him, he said he took one close-up lol! I went through your website some, in the beads section you wrote something about being unable to easily photograph some of the beads - have you tried scanning them? I want to do that with future small projects of my own, but I still need to properly hook my scanner to my Windows computer. As i understand it, you can 'enlarge' a scanned image (like with other images too I assume). Cheers, David On Sat, 8 Jul 2006, Georgia wrote: Pictures 1 and 4 are very good. Hi David,
I agree with Georgia about the good views. As for color, overall, the shrink looks grayish green, of a medium to light value. The colors in the variegation appear to be cream, blue green, and a dusty gray green. Great job! Hesira |

Hi David. Now, I could access them .Thank you!
I didn't know that kind of piece of clothing was called a shrink :-) I think the best ones are 1 and 4. Nr 3 is too far away. Colours are blue, white and grey. Good combination. What combination yarn hook did you use? I like it, specially the front. Hope it was useful :-) Take care! Sofia D "David R. Sky" a écrit dans le message de news: ... Thanks Hesira, it's great getting specific color feedback from different
people - and I find it quite interesting how people describe the same color of whatever I'm working on in different ways! (I often crochet while I dialyze at a local dialysis unit, I get the same from there - different people "see" the same color(s) differently, that is they have different names or variations of names for the same colored yarn.) Thanks Sofia,
When I work with any yarn, I just choose the hook which feels like it will do the job I want - so far I haven't paid attention to hook sizes or weights of yarn. Yes, a 'shrink' is two granny squares (one for the front, one for the back) joined by straps at the shoulders and sides. This is only the third shrink I've ever made, the first two I made about 30 years ago when I was a kid. If I can find the label for the yarn I'll scan and post it here for you. yes, I quite enjoyed crocheting it - I wanted to make slight variation so for the tenth of the eleven rounds of the granny squares instead of clusters of dc3, I did V-stitches - dc1 ch1 dc1. And then I added the sc trim all around. Cheers, David On Sun, 9 Jul 2006, Magie Noire wrote: Hi David. Now, I could access them .Thank you!
