Default Thanks for the kind wishes

I had several good cries today over Yukon, but am trying not to be so
maudlin that I make everybody crazy. I thought it interesting that there was
so much cat talk in the group today, from sneezing kittens to Carey N's
neighborhood friend. Must be something in the Ethernet.

It's 1:30 am in Pittsburgh, but I can't sleep, so I may just pick up the
needles and do some therapeutic knitting.

Thanks again for all the virtual hugs. What a kind group of friends you all
are.

Abi

Abi,
Please accept my condolences on the loss of your pet. I can sympathize, as
I was devastated when I lost my 17-year old cat in 1999. She had taken to
being "nurse-y cat" for other half, subtly predicting his first heart
attack, and then actually waking him up years later by screaming in his face
and poking at him, when his sugar count had dropped too low. She never
pestered HIM to wake up, even when hungry, so he was extremely startled (and
mad), until he sat up and realized how badly he felt. (She forgave him for
the swat he gave her.) Lucky she did wake him up, or HE might not be here
now.

I always felt she had a paw in putting Fonzie in our yard when we moved
here; Dave was the one who started feeding him and started hemming and
hawing about bringing him in when it snowed on St. Patrick's day. (Mr.
No-More-Cats even stated this morning that I might have to bring the kitten
in due to the rain today. That hasn't happened yet.)

Cats are people, too, and they are a very great part of our lives. Hugs and
purrs to your other two babies as well, since they will be missing their
buddy. I'm picturing my Duchess greeting your Yukon and looking over us
with love.

Carey in MA.
