Tall Ships and Zoo Pictures: OT
Prairieson and I recently visited the Toledo Zoo, one of the finest city
zoos in the country. We always have a great time, and it's particularly special because we both remember going there on field trips when we were in elementary school. A few years ago, I was called in to help with the zoo's Hyacinthine Macaws. They had tried for nine years to get a chick that lived. I helped them with incubabtion techniques and such, and we ended up with a live chick that they nearly killed before I could get there from my Michigan home. I took the baby home with me and kept him for five or six months. He was absolutely amazing!! I still miss him... my little Duncan. Anyway, one of the things I particularly love about going to the zoo is taking pictures. I know I whine a lot about taking pictures of my beads, but photographing nature seems to come easily to me. I've enjoyed doing it since I was in the army back in the 1970s. I threw together a page of some pics from our recent zoo trip. Enjoy! http://blackswampglassworks.com/zoo.html Today, we're going to see the Tall Ships come into the harbor. Prairieson has the rest of the week off, and we plan to enjoy every second of it!: http://tallshipstoledo.com/ -- Tinkster I have scads of stuff in my NEW eBay Sto http://www.stores.ebay.com/blackswampglassworks Join my Mailing List: |
