Default Book Works Weekend

There are only a few spots left for the 1st Annual Book Works Weekend!
Reserve your space now, before it's too late!

What is it?
An all weekend workshop on the many facets of making handmade books. There
will be a Thursday evening "Get Acquainted" get together, and the workshop
starts Friday morning with three full sessions (morning, afternoon,
evening/night), then continues Saturday with three more sessions, and
finishes up Sunday morning. Open studio format...over 25 books to choose
from. Make whichever ones you choose. Participants limited to 15, so that
the instructor can spend lots of one-on-one time. Beginner levels to
challenging projects. Something for everyone!

Where is it?
Historic St. Francisville in the lovely rolling hills of Louisiana, 30
minutes north of Baton Rouge. The workshop will be held at the St
Francisville Inn on the Lake. The classroom is very large and has a glass
walled patio area overlooking the lake. PLENTY of inspiration!

When is it?
Thursday, January 22nd, 2004 through Sunday, January 25th. January is
usually a very pleasant time to visit Louisiana, average temps in the 50-70
degree range (no guaranteed though!)

Hotel room (based on double occupancy) for Thursday, Friday and Saturday

middle of a book!)

All workshop materials for the books you choose to make, including detailed,
illustrated instructions to use and take home (extra kits will be available
for the books you don't get a chance to make during the weekend)
