Default changing skin tones and hair colors

Planning out a few projects that will eventually go up in a classroom, but need
help in changing the skin/hair/maybe eye colors from those of European
persuasion to something more ethnic/inclusive. Aiming for a culturally diverse
decore but finding that I'm not really good at color changing! DMC for the
bulk of it, but probably something fancy/fun for the hair. Any ideas?

Someone, some time in the past posted a list of color numbers for different
racial groups on the group. Go forth and google.

http://www.crosscountryshopping.com/.../skintones.htm

has DMC numbers for african american and asian tones.

http://crossstitch.about.com/gi/dyna...Faltcolor.html
has A.A., Native American, and Asian.

And there's a chart on this page that could be helpful:
