Yes, indeed.

And I saw my first P&Q teacher won a second prize in a category. How
great!

The winner of the 'world' is a lovely lady who lives just 20 miles down
the road from here. Her work is truly impeccable. I have seen so many
of her quilts in real life - and she is very generous with her time.

Thanks for the link, Mike! The innovative first place quilt, Metro by a
Japanese quilter, Noriko Nazawa, was so very clever and vibrant. I'd like to
point out the innovative second place quilt, Delicious, by an American,
Rachel Wetzler. I was lucky enough to see that quilt at the Mid Atlantic
Show in February. It is nearly life size vignette of a side walk cafe. I was
not alone among the viewers who just wanted to pull up a chair and join the
party on the quilt!! It was charming and extremely well done. Last but not
least, Diane's quilt has sophistication and traditional style all in one!

WOW!!!! These are gorgeous. I love the UK winner and the Canadian one but
they are all fantastic. I think I need to put my head down and keep on
practising before I can come anywhere near these quilt.
