Glass Eye software
Figure I'd bring this up again since I first asked about stained glass
design software. I played with the 30-day trial and immediately bought the Professional version. Wonderful software. Lots of options. I've got several pattern books. I can scan them and then import them into Glass Eye as a background where I can easily draw over the designs. If I had forked over more cash, it would automatically convert them to the Glass Eye format. I can also draw my own designs (not something I like to do) or cut and paste elements from existing Glass Eye patterns. About a hundred patterns come with the software. There are also several CDs of Glass Eye formatted patterns available on the market. It's got some limitations for a vector graphics program, but I think it's excellent. I would recommend it to anyone who is not well- conditioned to hand-drawing their patterns. Michael |
