Saturn Beads, Anyone?
Hi all,
I work at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory on a project called Cassini, which is a spacecraft going to Saturn. Our big arrival event happens on June 30, and I had the idea of making some bracelets or necklaces for myself and a couple of my friends. I'm having trouble finding Saturn-shaped beads, however. The only 3D charms I've been able to find are pewter, and not really what I want. I was wondering if any of our beadmaking folks on the list make beads in the shape of Saturn with it's rings, and how much do they cost. I'm looking for something either 3/4" that I could use as the (dangling) centerpiece of a necklace, or 1/2" that I could use as a bracelet charm. I tried making some with Sculpey, but I'm reeeally lame at using clay (which you can tell by the unrecognizable lumps I've ended up with!). Thanks! Very cool! Do you know Mr. Surber? He's been working on a project that he brought to share with my dd's school class last year! Very inspiring to the kids! The Blessed Fiddy, Patroness Saint of the Disorganized LC in Sunny So Cal Personality Development Specialist (Full-Time Mom!) |

My sister in law worked on Cassini, I think. Her name is Terry Anderson. She
and her husband both work at JPL. I had some saturn beads up on ebay. I'm not sure if they're exactly what you're looking for but I can email you a picture if you'd like. -Ellen |

I once met a woman online who lives just across town! Doesn't seem right
that we have to go online to meet somebody who works about three miles from where we live. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] "Karen Chan" wrote in message ... Ain't that the truth!
