Default Need some good vibes........

For the last 14 months I've been less than fully employed. I used to work
for a local Gateway Country store and we were hit in the 2003 St Patrick's
Day Massacre. Since then I've found the local economy less than favorable.
I've been working part-time at a local dept store doing the daily deposit 2
or 3 days a week. The pay is the pits but it gets me out of the house. My
unemployment ran out in January and I have since opened a new claim but I'd
really rather work.

Sunday I faxed in my application for a job that could be ideal for me. For
some time now I've wanted a job that I felt was a real benefit to people.
(Putting computers in the hands of people who are too stupid to use surge
protectors and anti-virus programs is NOT a good feeling at times. Sorry for
the rant.) The county's Agency on Aging has an opening for an Information
Specialist. The job would have me creating a bimonthly newsletter and
creating promotional material. And I believe their was something about some
web work. I do this on a volunteer basis for a non-profit organization
already and I love doing it! Okay, they're giving
preference to people over 60 and I still have 11½ years until that, but I am
going for the veteran's preference points. It's not the highest paying job
I've ever had but I could live on the salary they're offering.

I could use some good vibes being sent my way - I really think this job
could be "the one". If I'm not selected, well, so be it. But I sure hope
so..........
