Does anyone know of where I can get the instructions for making a pair of

I remember making these back in high school and helped my daughter make
one last year. Basically - you cut off the legs and then turn the jeans inside out and sew across the entire width. When you turn it right side out again you will have a pouch with the pockets, the zipper and the waist with belt loops. I sometimes use the fabric from the legs to make basic straps and attach to the waistband at the sides (usually inside and then cover with a lining - I make a simple fabric lining and hand stitch it to the inside. I also attach some sort of loop so that I can close the purse by looping around the button on the waistband. Sewing of basic purse takes less than an hour. Hardest part is having a sturdy enough needle to sew through denim - they have them for sewing machines and it's worth it to use them so your regular needles don't keep breaking. Best part is decorating - crazy quilt, fabric paint, beads, applique, embroidery...whatever you like...I find this part takes longer than making the purse to begin with! Have fun!
